Risky Business

Cub can be a bit of a risk taker. On top of that, he doesn’t seem to notice or care that the tone or inflection of my voice has changed to signify danger. All of that to say, we are having to take extra precautions to keep him safe these days.

He’s mister independent, wanting to actually walk rather than ride in the stroller. The problem is, he’s almost been hit by a car twice! And he has scaled the outside of the back deck stairwell up so high that Tiger had to pull him over the railing because he couldn’t reach him from below. If this child lives to adulthood it will be a miracle.

I got this kid-leash thing so he could walk with me. If it weren’t for all the nasty looks I get when we are out walking, I would rave about how great it is. If only people knew what it’s like to parent a child with no sense of danger and no fear of the unknown.

If you know someone dealing with PDD-NOS, Autism, Asperger, or ADHD- give them a hig from me. They need it.
